Our Pathways for Change
We catalyse change by putting women at the centre—amplifying their voices, equipping them to navigate and influence systems, and shifting resources and decision-making power in their favour.
WE CATALYSE
We will catalyse gender-just economic power by investing in community-led financing solutions that redistribute power, expand access to resources, and strengthen the economic influence of grassroots women and structurally marginalised communities for healthcare equity.
WE EQUIP
We will equip women, communities, and health and economic system actors with the inclusive knowledge, skills, and leadership authority to drive gender-transformative change; by strengthening women’s leadership and expanding their influence, we will build inclusive governance, create accountable institutions, and ensure that economic and health decisions are equitable, responsive, and grounded in community realities.
WE AMPLIFY
We will amplify the innovations and lived experiences of women and structurally marginalised communities, centring diverse identities and recognising how overlapping inequalities shape health and economic outcomes, to disrupt dominant narratives, and transform harmful gender norms, laws and practices in health systems, as well as the ways we invest in women’s economic strength.
HOW WE WORK
We work as a Systems Connector, Trusted Advisor, and Insights Generator to bridge grassroots innovation with systems-level change.
Systems Connector
As a trusted philanthropic advisor and Pan-African center, we convene diverse stakeholders, governments, women-led enterprises, donors, and the private sector to co-create scalable, locally driven solutions that bridge economic and health system challenges.
Trusted Advisor
Grounded in lived experience, practical insight, innovation, and data, we advise on solutions that address social determinants of health and foster economic inclusion. We strengthen gender-responsive practice and leadership.
Insights Generator
Through strategic communication, we elevate grassroots voices and innovations to shape global narratives, standards, and investment priorities. We facilitate robust research that anchors our strategic communications and builds credible influence.
Our Programs in Action
HerConomics
HerEconomics strengthens women-led SMEs by addressing barriers to capital, mentorship, and markets. Through capacity-building, microgrants, and outcome-based financing, the program supports women entrepreneurs in low-resource settings to scale their enterprises, expand market access, and link economic opportunity to improved health, agency, and financial independence.
Femdiginomics
At Femdiginomics, we are building an insights platform for women and girls that deepens understanding of the intersections between women’s health and economic systems. Through generating and analysing data sourced directly from communities, the platform amplifies lived experiences often overlooked in mainstream research seeking to strengthen learning, influence policy, and shift mindsets toward more inclusive, data-driven approaches to gender equity and social transformation.
Ubuntu Health Leadership Hub
At the Ubuntu Leadership Hub, we are building a pipeline of grassroots women leaders with a goal is to cultivate a movement of women who are influential at the local level; leaders capable of shifting mindsets, shaping equitable policies, and driving transformation in health systems and social justice spaces.
Care4Equality
Care4Equality amplifies the voices and leadership of healthcare workers who drive equity from the ground up. It recognises that those closest to the point of care, including nurses, community health workers, midwives, and allied professionals, hold invaluable insights into the realities of health inequities. The program connects local action to national and global health dialogues, ensuring that those who provide care are not just implementers of policy but coauthors of the systems that define it.
Community Health Hub
The Community Health Hub is a pan- Afican collaborative platform that brings together 120 grassroots organisations across the continent working at the intersection of health systems and gender justice. It serves as a shared space for learning, coordination, and collective action among community-based movements that are often underrepresented in regional and global health dialogues.
Philanthropic Advisory
Supporting donors, corporations, and foundations in advancing gender-just, equity-driven health investments through strategic guidance and partnership facilitation.
